Therapy

Maybe you're coming to therapy with a definite issue that you are able to name, but perhaps you feel sad or not quite yourself, and you’re not sure why.

Being able to talk openly with someone who isn't involved in your day-to-day life can be incredibly healing.

We can create a safe, confidential space together so you can freely explore who you are and what is happening in your life.

What to expect

Therapy sessions are all unique. Some weeks you may simply want to talk and feel better for getting things off your chest. In other sessions, we may think together about things you can try to help feel less anxious or overwhelmed, or I might offer insights on your situation for us to talk through together. Each session is personal to you and what you need.

My style of therapy

I work both short and long term with therapy clients on a range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, grief. suicidal thoughts, infidelity, relationship issues and trauma.

I work relationally, which means that I believe the relationship between therapist and client is a really important part of the healing work of therapy. By offering my support, challenge and emotional safety, you can pause, exhale and discover who you are.

I also use Transactional Analysis (TA), which helps people understand themselves by exploring how they relate to others and themselves. The core beliefs in TA are that everyone is OK, everyone can think and everyone can change. TA can help you understand how you express yourself, interact with others and form relationships - and create new ways to relating.

You can find out more about TA here.

As well as talking therapy, I also offer brainspotting, a technique which can help process and release trauma. Please take a look at my brainspotting therapy page to find out more.

Working together

I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation, so you can see how you feel about working with me and talk through any questions or concerns you have about the therapy process.

If we decide to work together, we will arrange weekly or fortnightly 50-minute sessions, costing £60 each. Therapy sessions can take place online via Zoom, MS Teams or WhatsApp, or in person at my practice near Heathfield.

I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions for clients on a low income. Please note, all my reduced-fee spaces are currently taken.

Please get in touch if you’d like to talk through how therapy could help you.
